hi guys, new here,
i currently drive a turbo'd integra but now i'm in the market for a daily driver car and leave the integra for weekends/track days/shows etc. basically, i need something that some friends can pile into and head downtown and i can park it and not have to worry if it'll still be there at the end of the night. i also need something comfortable and i can drive everyday and thru winter.
so after looking at alot of cars, a friend suggested an 01 model Lexus IS300 which i totaly overlooked. they are going for a decent price around here in toronto, varying from about $12-16,000 which is actually under my budget.
i'm just wondering, what are some things to look out for when buying one? things i should be careful of with higher mileage cars? common problems? also, how are they in winter even with the traction controll? will i be ok with a good set of winter tires? are they decent on gas? (i don't really mind too much on the gas part, my work is two blocks away from my house..lol). insurance rates decent?
thanks for your time!
