Well, I will not be using a the high-beam areas for that purpose. I'll leave that as a mystery untill I'm done fabricating the lights.

I do like trying to make mods look oem, but some things just really have to stand out.

As for the paint, all I had on hand for the mock-up was some gloss black hi-temp engine enamel. I'll more than likely use regular high gloss black for the final build. I just used that engine paint to get an idea of how it would look. Another thing is that the "chrome" in the oem headlights isn't exactly in perfect mirror-like condition. I found some bubbling, and fading in the chorme. Worse comes to worst, I'll have to use "chrome" paint on the main reflector areas, and black on the rest. That is, if I go black/chrome. Well, let's face it, even if the rattle-can says chrome, it looks more like silver when it hits whatever your trying to paint. So, if go black/silver...

On top of everything else, I've already got a CF trunk (with a matching hood in the future), so trying to look oem is out the window.
