I track mine by real world results.

When I fill up I divide the miles I traveled by the gals of gas I filled and I get what I average.

Because the SGII can be misleading. If I'm at a stop sign it tell me that I'm getting 0 mpg. if I drive 70 mph and shift to neutral, I think I can get 40 mpg.

So the only real way to tell how your truck is doing fuel wise? Is to actually calculate it over the course of several fill ups.
