I just thought this was normal [??] My jeep [I6 4.0L] always did the same thing. Ran on the highside until the engine warmed up and then all was fine. What I don't like though is after running highway speeds and coming to a stop, the idle drops to about 750, then comes back to 1000. Not sure what that's all about.
