Your drop did not cause the strut failure. When the vehicle is dropped the struts will travel less and actually last longer in many cases. It seems that people are under the impression that the pressure inside the struts increase when you drop the car. That isn't true.
TRD spring noise is common. Do a search. You can clean and lube the spring contact points which helps to relieve some of the binding noises you hear as the spring moves.
I'm having a hard time believing that you need struts and/or strut mounts on an '05.
