A Law of physics is the cause... The wind coming in creates sound waves (like blowing air over top of a beer bottle). And unfortunately that frequency which the sound waves are being produced is a terribly annoying and low frequency @ really high DBs Which is a TON of pressure on the ear drums. Not 100% on this, but that frequency could also be the vehicles natural frequency. Solution, Dont have the rear windows down ALL the way, or if you do, have the moonroof open, or one of the front windows open a crack to prevent the the sound waves from resonating.
I too have experienced it. And I have never had it that bad in another car.
