I used the brush on red tremclad paint. That way I didn't need to remove the calipers. I painted the calipers on my xrs nearly three months ago and they still look great. The tremclad has a deeper red than most caliper paint and costs less. As far as durability goes, I painted one of my cars calipers and it still looked good 5 years later when I sold it.
