btw, the reason i mess with it is because we are getting a constant buzz when the radio is on, it's almost like a static.

i took out the rca, solder everything and to my surprise the buzz is gone but the volume seems to be way high. For example: if i turn the up the vol slightly higher, the overall noise lever is almost unbearably loud.

so what's the deal? does the celica require some sort of installation wiring kit?

thanks, any input would helps!
Is the noise only present when the radio is on or is it also there when playing a CD etc? Also, when you say you "took the RCA out and soldered everything", was the RCA not connected to an amp and what exactly did you solder? BTW, I have sold/installed countless Pioneer headunits and none of them had noise issues however I have diagnosed several for others. If you do have noise related to the headunit it's most likely the pico fuse which gets blown by "hot swapping" (removing/installing RCA's while the unit is powered on) and if grounding to the headunit stops the noise it's a good bet that's what happened.
