3rd Generation Fuel Filter?

I called my dealer to see how much it would cost to replace a fuel filter on my 94 camry since most mechanic shops near my place have been telling me some BS story about how my car has an imbeded fuel filter in my gas tank and the only way to clean it is to open up the tank and use a toothbrush to clean it. I didn't believe their BS cause obviously most cars around the mid-90's have a fuel filter so i called the dealer and they told me its going to be around
~130 to replace it. I know it has to be replaced since the previous owner of my car has done absolutely nothing to it. Is ~130 a resonable price or are they just being the usual dealer stealer? How much should replacing a fuel filter run me ?
