Yeah, but that's a problem when you want to have another set of rims (steel) and winter tires. That would mean you have to take the winter tires apart again in the spring just to get the sensors out so you can put them back in the alloys. That's a pain in the A$$.

I have started looking into this and someone told me I can contact a car parts store (such as CarQuest) and they sell an aftermarket sensor for a fraction of the price of the sensors Toyota sells. If this is true, then it maybe worth it to buy these just for the winter tires and rims. I will have to make some calls and try to find this out for sure. I want to save my alloys but I don't want the hassle of taking apart both sets of rims and tires everytime I want to change them.
