You need to be careful when you are driving in this manner. This shifter WILL allow you to accidentally throw the car in REVERSE when you are in forward motion. There is no safety to prevent this from happening. It is all too easy for this to occur when you are all excited during a "drag race". I would suggest, like others here have that you do not race this car. These cars have more potential to look great then they do to burn up the track. So if you ever hear someone on the sidewalk yelling "RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as you drive by redlining in 1st gear it is probably me.
