Well, Next week is Half Price day so if its remains their, I'll harvest the 8-RC engine and Transmission cross member and just make another 18-RG. Carburetor air cleaner is already gone so I'll remove the engine and transmission as an assembly.

Well I completed the task as of Today 9/21/2008. The Jan 1971 8-RC is now in mine for about $100.00 plus the core charge. The Radiator and Transmission Bell Housing where also harvested. Nice half price day. After a closer look at the area where someone had removed the trunk mounted Gas tank had been done is such a savage manner that the sheet metal was torn up to the rear cross support.

The front hood is sitting on top of the car and both doors, and front grill are still in good shape. It will probley get crushed tomorrow of so since the place was pretty much cleared out. I forgot to recover the drive shaft from the car so I'll stop back in to see if its still there.

There was also only one other corona in there about a 1979 complete. ThanksI also harvested the Emission control info to keep with the engine and did indeed verify that it was a Jan 1971 production car with such a low vin number. I'll post pictures of the rebuild as it comes into focus here is a short while. I believe that I have a older 18-RG head from that production period and that should make a nice historic upgrade.

Thanks again
