1982 Tranny questions?
I bought a 82 4wd with a 22r and a 5 speed tranny behind it. The transmission is blown, it has a 31x10.5 tires and stock ring and pinion. The blown transmission has no known cause to why it blew. I think its the tires and the stock ring and pinion. I just replaced the transmission but I'm afraid to drive the truck yet. Should I replace the ring and pinion with lower gears and if so then what gears should i get. I also dont know the stock gear ratios for differential. If any one has an answer please let me know.
