Punched? I hope your not talking about taking out the insides of the valve.

I've heard that the Bosch bypass/recirc valves stay open under vaccumm so your gonna have to find some way to keep it closed under vaccumm. Maybe you can hookup the nipple on it to the pipe in between the turbo and throttle body so it never sees vaccumm and stays closed.

I have one that I pulled off a Saab at a junkyard but, I haven't played with it or hooked it up since I have a Blitz BOV so I dunno if what I said above will work or not.
