I don't know why everyone on this site wants to be a know it all about every damn thing that has to do with a car. A Cold Air Intake is simply what it says in it's name... getting cold air into the intake by whatever means necessary. Some are going to be different than others, that's half the fun of playing with cars is trying to figure out what works best. If you are such a guru on performance parts, then I suggest you start manufacturing them and make some money with that mouth of yours. Best of luck in your business venture. Last time I checked Spectre made quite a bit of money and you may want to do a little more reseach on them as a company before you start bad mouthing them or their means of design and method.
