Check this image. You'll that on the intake manifold there is two nipples, one to the left and right. The left one there has a black rubber cover for it while the left is left open. This is where you will hook up the BOV too as it is the best source to use. Again on your car, the one too the right in the picture will be currently used while the right one is going to have a rubber protective pieace around it.

So does your car have a boost controller that you know off? Could of been that the who ever had it before had a manual boost controller installed and you didn't know. Again stock the car should only be running 8-10 psi.
