Are you using a blow-off valve? If not, that could put alot of stress on the turbo because when the throttle snaps shut, the trapped air will try to escape back through the turbo. I dont know if this could have possibly caused what I see, but never the less a turbo set-up without a blow-off valve is not a good idea. If you dont have one and you plan on installing one, you will want to recirculate the blow-off back to the intake (past the MAF sensor) so that the metered air stays in the sytem (otherwise your air/fuel mixture will get messed up).
