How much do dealers make off this car?

I bought 2010 scion xb today being that i had a clunker and i can tell you dealer wasn't really happy while doing the deal. Only option that was added was mats for $66. I paid cash so dealer didn't make anything off financing. I am wondering what do dealers make off scion being that they can't negotiate on this cars(they are basicaly sold for price of sticker)

Virtually nothing. There's only a few hundred dollars on the top end of a scion.

the only thing Toyo of Orlando really made (atleast in 05 when I bought this one) was the dealer fee. due to the pure price, they cant really mark up the price any...

if they want to discount a scion, they must discount all of them,, my dealer gives 500 off all scions... but thats company wide.. every one is the same way.. even as an employee i paid the same as you...

I also paid sticker for my scion. I didn't get any discount. Employee's don't get special treatment on scions.

Dealer makes about 700 bucks on the car. There are more advertising co-op and holdback monies that aren't included in that amount. Overall it's still less than 1500 dollars. That's not nearly enough to pay the overhead to run a dealership. Service, Used cars, Body Shops, etc are neded for a dealer to "make money".

Everybody wants to get their car for "cost"... but no dealer can survive that way. I paid sticker for mine.

Currently Scion is advertising deals on their 2010 models to make room for 2011's....we're offering anywhere between $500 and $1000 off right now.
