The ball joint is not sold separately from Toyota. Maybe the ball joint you can buy is for aftermarket control arms.?

replace the ripped one, don't install it ripped. As far I know, use ball joint press kit w/ adapters or a shop press with proper stand/adapters and make sure to grease the orifice of the control arm where the ball joint presses in--also grease the outer circumference of the ball joint--so it can press into the control arm easier. When you get the ball joint, they usually come with a plastic-cone/cap-cover. Keep these on until the moment of installation to keep them clean and ripping. I think you can press the ball joints with those covers on. You might want to check some you-tube vids. When I did the echo-I just bought the a couple new moog control arms which come with new ball joints and bushings pressed in--I didn't want to spend the $$ to get a press kit...tho I have a suburban that needs a new front end rebuild, so I might have to..lol.
