Cool New To The Boards and I Thought I'd Say Hi...

Howdy all, my wife and I just purchased a New 4 door sedan Echo in Dark Blue with the B series package and we added Auto, A/C, cruise and Hood deflector. This is only our second day of having the little car but after doing much research I think it's the best value for the $$$.

Is there any little secrets that we should know about our new little Hot Rod?

Welcome. You should have many trouble free miles in the Echo, and I've heard that gas mileage on those cars is phenominal

Hi 05_Echo,

I'm also new to this forum. My wife and I bought our '05 Echo Hatch in July/05 and we're loving the car (except for a strange rattling noise coming from the rear passenger corner). But we're saving so much on gas and that's why we bought this car... the car averages about 6.5L/100km on mix city/highway driving.

Congrats on your new Echo, hope you enjoy it on the longterm, especially since gas price is unlikely to come down anymore.
As to any little secrets about your new little Hot Rod, I'd say that, if you wanna go fast, the secret is to floor the pedal . Jokes aside, fuel economy will suffer if you drive fast, but not too much compared to a Camry per say. I still get between 7.5L to 8.5L per 100km while I drive fast (80% of the time or more) and with A/C on sometimes (not so much now that it's gotten colder here).

Enjoy your stay in TN and the Echo and let us know how's things with it.
