Echo sticky window

I own a 2001 Echo. For the last year, my driver's side window has been increasingly hard to roll up (manual window). Also, it tends to rotate forward slightly while it raises, so it doesn't seat properly at the top unless I nudge it down & up repeatedly. My local mechanic says that the track inside the door needs replaced (about an $85 part).

I've never had this sort of problem on this new of a car. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it? I'm wondering if it's a part defect or faulty engineering. Also, I had the windows professionally tinted shortly after buying the car. Could that be a cause of this problem?

they probably had to take the windows out to tint them and jsut didn't put the driver's door window back in properly.

On my little pick up I had the window out and after a couple of months I had to re-tighten some of the screws because it did what you are describing...
