Question speedo mirror for passenger?

i'm an instructor with a toyota echo (2002) 3dr hatch

just wondering if anyone out there knows how to open up the dashboard and
install a mirror so that an assessor (pasenger - side) can see it...?

Maybe you can find a GPS unit that allows you to do this...you may also be able to look for an electronic unit that can tap into the vehicle's speed sensor wire and will display speed on an external display.

I'm not sure on how to do that but what about going to a glass shop and having them put a mirror mount from a full size car on your windshield and then go to the auto wreckers and get the size of mirror that works best for you? That would be easier than filling the hole in the dashboard when your done with the car as well.

That might not work too well, since whatever you see in the mirror will be the reverse, unless you're willing to adapt to looking at it reversed. Might be better to install another speedo-gauge rather than an extra mirror, but I dunno. I guess you're looking at an easier and cheaper way to do it.
