06 Yaris Speaker Sizes?

Anyone know the speaker sizes in the 2-door LE off the top of your head?

I have a feeling the front is a 6 1/2, but the rear could be a 5 1/4 or even a 5x7.. its kind of hard to tell.

Also, is the stereo DIN the same as the echo (using the same mounting kit), or did they go with a different style there too?

Just looking at replacing the stock speakers and deck with some nice aftermarket parts - i'm suprised at how the stock system sounds, actually, but i'm never content with stock anything.. hehe.

regardless of specs, the stereo is adequate but certainly not as good as the corolla sport 6 speakers (2 tweeters at head level, two mid and two subs in the back).

Not that the speakers are bad but the placement of them near the floor and the limited bass (definitely needs a subwoofer to fill it out) keep the system from sounding great.

I don't think there's much problem with the quantity of the bass, only that it's muddy. The whole sound system actually is muddy, and doesn't have much definition. I'm talking about the one on the yaris RS with the 4 speakers.

Anyone knows the size of them? I think when I went to a stereo place they checked and said 6 1/2" in front and 5 1/2" in the back but I'm not sure anymore

From what I have heard the front 6 1/2 and you can fit 6x9 in the back. You need a extension piece for the front. As far as the echo mounting kit, I used it but it is far from the right one. I used the original mounting bracket as well as the echo kit but modified the whole thing. this was an interesting install http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=660
