Thank Euroncap for that useless safety feature in most modern cars. Many cars have '5 star rating' only because they beep when the passengers don't wear seatbelts.

So stupid it hurts.

There's probably a connector under the seat to activate the sensor for the seatbelt, but I would be hesitant to unplug it, because it may be tied into the airbag sensor, for deployment...

This is a no-brainer, I stop my seatbelt warning from beeping by putting on my seatbelt. It's easier to get out of a seatbelt than to get my head out of the windshield

Thats why I got married!!!!

Sadly in this weather the beeping of the irritating "nanny toyota" alarm is preferable to the wife's moaning about the cold!

I just got a piece of plexiglass the thickness of the belt tongue and dremeled to the shape (including the hole) with a rounded tap to grasp. Disabling the chime caused other problems. (Of course, the first time I took it in for service, they handed it to me at pick-up and were very concerned how it got there.) (or go to a salvage and cut the belt off the tongue.)

So let me get this right, you sit in your car, in your garage, with the engine running
If you are that cold, start driving, it'll warm up alot quicker that just sitting there idling
And why can,t you have the seatbelt on if your just sitting there. If you are from Barrie Ontario why do you display the union jack and not the maple leaf.

Why not just wear the belt?

Jeez its like being at kindergarden in here!!!

I ask a reasonable question and someone gets on his soapbox about it all.....

Why the flag????? Maybe, just maybe in the age of a strange phenominum we folk called travelling that maybe... just maybe its possible to move from one particular part of this planet to another to live....

Fooks me mate what next..... THE WHEEL???!!!!

A word to those with half a brain here, trust me if you want to look after your engine especially in this cold winter - youll warm it up a bit before setting off to allow the oil to thin out a little and get to those all important places that'll keep your Yaris going for a long time.

As for the folks without that half a brain, this post is brought to you by the letters F and O and by the number 2.
