How do I change brakes

I have done all my own maintenance on my 2001 echo since buying it 4 years ago. My local dealership has awful service, so I am thinking about changing the brakes my self. It does not have ABS, and I need to do just the front disc brakes. I have observed many brake jobs and I am not mechanically incompetent, but have never done this job myself. can anyone let me know if there are any tricks with an echo?? - any problems I might run into?? any help or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

What part are you trying to replace?
Pads, calipers, rotors?
