technical service bulletins

i recently purchased an 03 echo. according to my 'lemon-aid' book, there's a TSB for the hood lock mechanism.

but the dealer mechanic couldnt find this info.

what's a good and free TSB website? i couldnt find anything on toyota.ca

In Canada I’m pretty sure its Transport Canada http://www.tc.gc.ca/ who issue recall notices (Govt enforced) however individual manufacturers may take it upon themselves to issue “service bulletins” un-related to recall problems.

Often the service bulletins are more like pointers or advice to the Techs and service people at stealerships.

There is a TSB #BO018-03

calls for a hood lock replacement and a cable if needed. the TSB says it is an update for snow getting into the lock and causing rust.
