2007 Toyota Yaris Pictures and review

2007 Toyota Yaris Pictures and road-test review on familycar.com

http://www.familycar.com/RoadTests/ToyotaYaris/

"We drove both the liftback and the sedan over a variety of roads in and around Atlanta Georgia and came away impressed at the decidedly un-econocar feel of this pair. The 1.5 liter engine had more than enough power for any type of road condition we experienced and felt fairly civilized, even under hard acceleration. You won't win any street light competition, but there was more than enough power to get you on the highway without having to wait for a huge gap in the traffic. The automatic transmission was smooth and responsive and the steering was sharp and direct. The ride over most road surfaces was every bit as good as the current Corolla, leading us to wonder what the next Corolla would be like."

It sounds like the Yaris will ride and handle as good as the Corolla. Impressive interior for a sub-compact car.

I am not sure, but it appears from the picture that the driver's seat is height adjustable because I see a lever there, and this is good!

Looks like this car is off to a good start with the good review, not to say every reviewer will like it, but its getting good nods. After reading reviews like this one it makes me more antsy to see one for myself and test drive it (the sedan and hatch). Does anyone know if this is the same 1.5ltr as the previous gen ECHO just modified for better gas and lower emissions? Or is it a completely different 1.5ltr for the second gen? Like does it have a different engine idenification class? Know what I mean? Anyway, great reivew! I can see this car really taking off, I hope it does!
