Question OEM lowering springs and exhaust

So i just started lookin into gettin a 2006 or 2007 Yaris LE. While i was on toyota.ca i saw they offer lowering springs and "performance" exhaust. Im just curious, how much lower are these springs compaired to OEM?? and as for the "performance exhaust", hows it sound/how does set?? Like is the tip in the center? off to the side like OEM?? Im just wondering cuz i dunno if i wanna pay the $750 extra from factory, or if i wanna just go get a coustom made one. Also, any one know if TIEN is plannin on making a coilover setup for the Yaris and/or does Echo suspention fit?? Sorry for all the stupid questions, im a 6gen celica guy.

I have both the lowering springs and performance exhaust on my Yaris RS. You can see pictures of in in the gallery section. It's the blazing blue one on the second page in the Yaris section. The springs lower the car 1 - 1.5 inches and the exhaust exits in the OEM position, but with 2 exhaust tips. The spring are Eiback and the exhaust is a Borla. The car handles very well and the exhaust gives the car a nice growl without being too overly loud.

hmmm...i think ill hold off on the lowering springs and exhaust if i get mine. Right now im just trying 2 figure out how im gonna go about gettin my Yaris. I think im gonna get a very basic CE and then just do every thing else by my self. Im sponsered by an audio shop, so i can get every thing for cheap. Plus i think what ill do is go out and get a coustom made exhaust and see if i can find some one to give it a WRC kinda sound.

And for drell42, im probably gonna b ordering it early summer/late fall when i sell my celica. Im just trying 2 figure out how much in total its gonna cost with all the options i want.

Brush,

I was just wondering, are you happy with the springs? I've ordered the springs too for my new 4-door Yaris. Were the springs hard for the dealer to get a hold of? I'm afraid the car is gonna be delivered and the spring's won't have arrived yet. Overall, are you happy with the performance and handling of the car? How are the stock tires? How's your gas mileage so far?

Chessclubloser,

I am happy with the springs. I find that the car corners fairly flat and the car looks better (IMHO) with the lowering springs. All my dealer installed options were at the dealership before the car arrived, so I would not think that your dealer should have any problems. I would check with the dealership if you are unsure. Like you say, it would suck to wait for the car and then find some options are on back order. Overall, I am happy with the performance of the car. Mileage isn't up to what I expect, but it is winter, I have snow tires on the car right now and a roof rack with ski adapter, which also effects the mileage. And since I put the snow tires on soon after getting the car I don't have much input on the stock tires. I hope this helps. There is another discussion going on about crappy Yaris gas mileage, so you can read more on that topic there.
