Yaris = Time Bomb?

Hi,
Picked up my Yaris last week (320 km so far), and have just noticed that, although when I start it up the engine is as quiet as a church-mouse, after I have driven it for a bit, the engine "ticks" while running. It is especially apparent when I am stopped. Don't belive I heard this when I first picked it up. I propped open the hood, and it seems to be ticking from near the fan belt on the side. The outside temp is ranging around -5 -- +5°C.
Does anyone else have this problem? Could it be salt on the belts? Anything to worry about?

FW

My Yaris always makes a ticking sound, I never inquired, it seems normal.
