Canada VINTAGE 2006 Yaris

... now the 07's are out and in the showrooms... hmmm... NOTHING is different other than a sedan version being launched. Hey, no immobilizer even... I guess Toyota didn't want to listen to its customers. The good thing is, the 06's are now vintage and you will have lower mileage, or the same as the '07 owners who pick up their cars this month, and lower insurance costs ( mine dropped by $50 a year thanks to the 07's coming out- just got my renewal notice )...

wow, those are really low km's for an '06 Mr. Yaris... that '07 over there has about the same and they say they paid $500 more than you in the first place...

It is odd to launch an '07 three months into '06, especially when the first new Yaris' rolled into Canada late October of '06 as a complete redesign of the echo.

it just seems silly.

tongue in cheek

I know, I know... I thought I would post a tongue in cheek thread just in case one of those suits at Toyota actually paused to think of their sillyness at some point. Bottom line, I'm quite impressed with the Yaris, you will surely be happy with your purchase...

Hmm... wonder if you ordered yours before the 06's became the '07's... what will you get? I guess you'll find out when it arrives!

Enjoy your car, mine is still getting about 550km on a tank of fuel in the city, hauls people and things well, and has enough power for passing and hills no worries...

I'm not impressed with the Yaris at all. At the Houston Auto Show, I sat in one and it has the crappiest interior i sat in. The dash was made of completely hard plastics that were really uninviting. Also, is Toyota really stupid enough to copy the center stack of a Saturn Ion?

Canada

Hey CRBOYD91 I have a couple thing to say if GM is the best can you explain why the profit for GM this year was 2 or 3 Billion and Toyota’s was 10 billion I think it is the biggest profit or second by a car manufacturer I am all about supporting North America but not when it comes to cars foreign companies own the market and get this Toyota is going in to Nascar to hit the heart land of white trash America

What do you expect for $12,000? The Aveo, Accent, and Rio interiors are of similar or lesser quality. Center-mounted gauges facilitate LHD conversion, and aren't a problem at all after the five minutes it takes to get used to them.

I'm very impressed with the Yaris so far (haven't driven it yet), it has by far the roomiest rear seat and the best fuel economy of its class.

wow, more fanboy problems. As if Saturn started the "center-console revolution"

I think Stevie Ray and AmericanRev should come here and give this fanboy a SPANKING at least for saying something stupid.
