Hello everyone,

Just have a question on cruise control for the 06 Yaris. The dealer says I might be able to put an after market one in. Has anyone tried installing one and if so how is it working for you?

It would be the exact same cruise as I had installed on my 05 Echo and it works great. It's a little pod that sticks to the side of your steering colum.

Yeah, my mom has cc on her 01 echo. I don't know why my parents got it, but they haven't used it a single time so far...

It wont be the same as the Echo because the Yaris has no throttle cable. I checked with the dealership I work at and the parts guys have no listing for dealer installed cruise control at this point. Also it dosnt come up as an accessory for 07 Yaris Sedan either which makes me think that it might not be offered. If I get any other info I will let you know.

When I spoke to the dealer they said it would be a couple of years before they offer it. But they said it may be possable with an after market one. Please keep me informed.

I work at a Toyota Dealer in Calgary in the parts department. Toyota customization department has an eta for the cruise as march. I would expect it to be available any day now. I will keep you posted when it does, as I am awaiting it for my own vehicle.

That is great news. I travel about 130km a day so cruise is very important. I would be greatful if you would keep me posted.
