2000 echo check light on???

ok well my light just went on and is staying on....i dont know what all the fluids and things are fine.....my car has about 94,000 miles...so is this a light to tell me to get a check up because im close to 100,000 miles...i know some cars do that...do echo's.....my friend with a civix can use a paper clip on the on-board computer to let lights blink in order to tell him whats wrong with the car? are there any tricks with our babys??? i hope so it would save all of us time and money.....thanks for the help with my being a newbie here but this is buging me......

Sometimes it might be as simple as your fuel filler cap not tighten enough after you refueled your car. Try to tighten it until you hear 2 clicks. But if not sure, take it to a dealer or garage and have a professional check it out.

I like the scangauge. I got mine at scangauge.com. It will tell you codes if your engine throws one. Then, you can zero in on what the code is. I am not affiliated with scangauge, I just like this invention.

fuse?

i read something about how it can be an air bubble in my gas line and once it got set off it will till i take it in...but then read how i can reset it myself by taking oout some fuse...i look at my fuses none looked like the right one....so how do i reset it....

Cool, do you really have one of those scan guages? I have been seriously thinking about purchasing one. Please let us know how what you like and dislike about it.
