Thanks thoots for those pictures, very nice! Eventhough I perferr the hatch I still like the sedan, it holds its own (IMHO), what are your personal feelings on the sedan? Did you just take pictures or did you test drive as well? I saw that 16K price tag! Yikes! I wonder if Toyota will sell mostly "convience packages" rather than fully loaded, at least for the sedan cause it goes into the 16K territory, well into Corolla territory-reason is I'm sure a lot of people will get sticker shock when they see it and go well I can get a decently equiped Corolla with more space and power-no I'm not haten' the Yaris, just concerned about it, but I have no doubt as gas prices may raise people might be willing to pay premium but that could be a stretch for the U.S. So are you in the market for the Yaris? If you are hatch or sedan? Or are you just taking pictures? Anyway thanks for the pictures!

You're welcome! Not exactly in the market for the Yaris -- just bought (strange term, actually!) one of these:

Camry XLE. You wanna talk sticker shock??

I was interested in the Yaris, but decided to go the other way. As small and cool as the hatch is, I think you've got to go for the sedan -- just "more better" in pretty much every way, unless you really want the cheapest stripper. But, just my opinion -- I think the hatch is a pretty insanely cool car, too!

I was just back at the dealer to pick up a Camry brochure that they didn't have when I bought the thing, and to say good-bye to my trade that they finally had on the lot. Figured I might as well take some pictures of the Yaris since it was there!

Not to get off topic too much...that's a nice Camry...but then again I think the 2007 Camry is very very nice (IMHO). I saw one for the first time outside of an auto show in public, wow! Such a nice car...who would have ever said that about the Camry? Back on the Yaris, I also think the hatch is a funky little ride and refreshing- I assume you posted on the 2007 Camry thread? Just wondering how you like your ride. Anyway happy motoring!

Yep, I've posted a bunch more pictures in the 2007 Camry thread in the "Toyota News" forum. The Camry is of course very nice -- very luxurious. The ride is smooth and quiet, as I expected, and the control is BETTER than I expected -- so far, I've never felt that I was going too fast for the Camry's handling to manage perfectly well. Power with the four-cylinder has been all I expected, and then some -- plenty of power to zip up the freeway offramps, though I've yet to attempt a pass on a two-lane highway -- I'll get to that pretty soon now.

So, I'm pretty darn happy with the car. The "XLE stuff" like the sliding arm rest, the reclining rear seats, and the premium JBL sound system are all very nice touches. A lot of dough, but I hope to be driving the thing for a couple of decades!
