Canada who builds the yaris???

Hello yaris lovers,

Just wondering if anyone knows where the Yaris is built? I have heard france can anyone confirm.

North American Yaris is built in Japan. Europe may get French built. BTW it was designed in France.

If the first digit of your VIN is J it is built in Japan. If the first digit is 2 it is built in Canada.
If it is 3, 4 or 5 it is built in the USA.

That list only applies to newer Toyotas. I don't know what year they changed it over, but it has to have been after 98.

KT as stated above must be the signation for a Yaris Hatch?

As an example Gen5 Camry LEs with the 4sp auto should be BE32K I think. I have to check later...
