Canada trim kits???

hello everyone,

Well sorry to start a new thread but I was wondering if anyone has found a trim kit to replace the the double din radio with a single din. Most places are selling honda trim kits but I am having trouble with the yaris. Not sure if I have to get it from europe.

Thank Leaf

WELLLLLLLL what a pain in the YARASS!!!!!! I installed the echo trim kit for my half din stereo and I had to modify the entire mounting kit. Even the opening holding the stereo was to small and I had to cut it open. I used original mounting brackets and trim kit brackets together. It looks really good but a great deal of work to make everything fit nice. I do not recommend using this trim kit for a 06-07 yaris. If you have patience and experiance then go for it because it does look good. I will try to get pics soon.

The double din radio should fit ,but you will have to use the factory brackets and mount them to the aftermarket radio of your choice.Only thing that you might have to look for is the distance on the sides between the radio and the finish trim .You might have to build a false cover to take up some of the space difference.

I belive you are talking about the airbag indicater light. It will tell you the airbag is off when you first get in the car, and will only come on if there is a person in the seat. There is a sensor to only engage airbag if person present in seat. Very cool feature incase of a headon col. and no passanger in vehicle only the one airbag will deploy.

Sorry hasher22 but when my buddy saw the lights and heard that I wanted to do something he picked them up for me. It cost me a grand total of $8 cnd and about an hour of my time to wire it in behind everything. I want to see pics of what you do

Ya I did looks good.
I spliced the wires in parrallel with the cig. lighter in behind. You will have to open up the center part to get to this of course. Drilled a hole for the switch beside the outlet and I fused it as well. the wires should be small enough to sqeeze threw the pocket and the trim in the area you are going to put the lights, and of course watch polarity. I will try and send you some pics tonight if I have time I will send them by email. going to my buddy's to test out my amp I bought off of ebay. yippee
