ARGH! So pissed!!

So yeah, I have my new yaris (less than a week old) and unfortunately my friend accidentally spilled some seafood dish right on that center console where my handbrake is, I've used Maguire's quick detail clean (dont remember the exact name) but I can still smell the damn seafood odour, what's a good way of getting this out totally? Needless to say I am really piss right now! Please help. thank you.

First I would order your NEW Yaris rite away. Then I would be informing your so called friend, who has nooooo respect for the fine car the yaris is, that he will be getting the bill and the yaris with a new car sushi smell.

Anyway I can REALLY feel your pain good luck.

So sorry to hear about your troubles...maybe you shouldn't have had your "friend" eat in the car? Like you can have food in the car just don't eat in the car rule...whatever. Well sometimes it takes awhile for the smell to come out, so the mess is totally gone and you can't see any evidence but you can still smell it? hum...you could go to a auto store and ask but I don't know. Leave windows open, when you drive have air circulate out of the car, is the odour not as strong after awhile when driving it or is it still coming on strong? Another good brand is Armor All...you don't want to use too heavy cleaning stuff as it will ruin the interior but obviously if it says its for car interiors I guess thats a give in, it depends if that product works. Like if you park your car in a garage, leave the windows open at least crack them open so the smell disapates, it helps air circulate and get the smell out of there. Hope that helps somewhat I'm sure there will be better suggestions, good luck and sorry to hear about it, especially with your new car!

P.S. Did your "friend" offer to help or pay for cleaning it up or cleaning materials? They should, especially since it was their fault (accident or not) and because its a new car. If they are your "friend" I would assume they are willing to compromise with something but obviously I don't know the whole story Just my .02

First I would like to say this your fault Gracey second their may be some seafood/seafood water that fell in the little cracks around your handbrake so unless you are willing to get someone to take that thing out you are going to have to deal with the smell sorry that I am sounding harsh but something like this just really pisses me off this is your car you have the right to tell someone not to eat in it even if you are okay with someone eating in your car it’s a brand new friggen car give yourself some time to enjoy the cleanliness of it
the other day I drove a co-worker home I told him he has to put a garbage bag on the seat because we both were dirty from the days work if he did not like it tuff your car your rules (on my drivers seat I have a seat cover I may buy one for passenger seat ) lastly I hope you did not ask your friend to pay for the cleaning supplies as that would not be a nice thing to do regardless if he/she made the mess you have to bite the bullet on this one sorry that this was a harsh response

ohh!!!
What i would do is a thorough clean with a lysol like product. If you feel it might be a little to harsh dilute some with water. Make sure nothing is left in any cracks or crevices ( use q-tips and toothpicks even ). Then i would use fabreez auto, That stuff works amazingly and is appropriate for most car surfaces.
I know because one silly night a bunch of friends and i desided to eat, spill food and drinks & smoke cigars in their parents new van, We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get the smells out.. and the fabreez took out all the other smells we used in there (chemicals, fruity air fresheners etc ) and made it smell like a new clean van again!

I hope this helps

She did not eat in the car, she brought the bloody food with her that I would take home for my mother. It was sitting in the backseat minding its own bloody business but she figured I would forget about it so she picked it up (she was sitting in the front passenger seat without realizing it was leaking.
