Yaris swap/turbo?

I was thinking about possibly in a year or so, take out a loan and get a little Yaris 2door hatch 5speed. But my friends mom has one, i've ridden in it when he was driving it. They seem pretty like snappy, but not very quick. I know there made for fuel economy, but i think it'd be pretty fun to have 150-160hp to the wheel in one of those!!! Maybe like a 2zz swap, haha.

Just wondering if anyones done a swap, or made a turbo kit for their yaris.

the toyota vitz in japan is our yaris. and the vitz has two models. n/a and turbo. the cars look the same and i checked a little on them cuz i would like to import a vitz over. so i think if you get the engines for the vitz it should swap just fine. but not 100% sure.

Yes, the Gen 1 Vitz was offered with a Turbo...

But not the Gen 2 Vitz, which is the current Yaris...

They all use the 1NZ-FE, so with standalone engine management, they could be tuned to work...

There is a guy in Ontario with a Blitz Supercharger fitted to his Yaris...

TTE (Toyota Team Europe) also makes a (rebadged Blitz) supercharger for the Gen 1 Yaris/Vitz, which Toyota Canada has bolted to their TRD Yaris Showcar...

hey echo_hrs, do you know how much his Blitz supercharger gives at the wheels? That would be wicked to have such power for a light car...thanks for the pics.

Short answer is around 150hp & 150lb/ft, plenty for such a light car. Can be tuned to make more.

wrong... The blitz kit just was a plain disappointment for me ... I wished I drop that cash into doing the 2zz swap I'm doing now...

whoa, I thought you were disappointed mainly due to the incompatibility of LSD swap, or something like that. Now you're saying the supercharger sucks ass as well? WTF I wish I have that kinda cash to put that SC into my hatch Obviously a 2ZZ swap would be the ultimate, but most people couldn't even afford the Blitz charger, let alone the 2ZZ.
Anyway, didn't know you're already doing the swap. How far are you in the build right now? Good stuff nonetheless Don't forget to show some pics and dyno slips and drag slips and well, everything

the lsd was taken cared of when I installed a 6 spd from a AE101 which is a C160 ... Yeah I know if I did more tuning in the supercharger I would have made good amounts of power but not even close to what this 2zz I'm putting in ... I found a 2zz M Spec motor which pumps out about 200hp ... And makes about 160 to 170whp ...

As for the build ... I'm not into it yet ... I'm having the whole car stitch welded first... It should be done there in like 2 weeks... And I should be done with the 2zz swap by Mid to late august...
