Hey guys

I just bought my first ever car...and i dont really know anything about modding cars or what not. Just trying to learn.

I was wondering if any of you guys knew what i should look for in buying new rims besides good looks.

I have a new 06 yaris from canada but i dont know what bolt pattern or whatever else i need to know about buying new rims.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

The bolt pattern is 4x100 (the same as a great many cars, so you can find used wheels anywhere. There are a few VW wheels that come to mind that would look nice on a Yaris, plus anything that fits on a civic (older ones) will fit on your yaris). Offset is the problem, have a look here, http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t105446.html where they talk about it.

That said, if you find a used rim, see if you can arrage a test fit before you buy to see how they're going to sit on the car. If you're buying a new rim, try and find someone who has the same size and offset wheel to try out on your car so you can see what it'll look like.

I am not a tire/rims guy.

I have a 07 US Yaris

Would this size work?
17inch
Backspacing = 5 & 7/8 inches = 149.2 mm Positive Offset = 1 & 3/4 inches = 44.4 mm
Bolt Pattern 4x100 and 4x114.3
