A/C question

Well, I though my AC wasn't blowing cold enough, so I added some refrigerant and everything went wacky! I vented enough of the new stuff out so it's back to it's usual self. Whew! Anywho-does anybody know what the correct pressure for a/c refrigerant in a 2006 Echo? Thanks for your help!

For one thing (to my knowledge) there is no such thing as a 2006 ECHO, they were discontinuned after the 2005 model year, unless you got a very special one

Anyway to anwser your question...go to a certified mechanic, unless you know how to do this stuff and know the ends and outs of it, I would advise against messing with it, cause as you experienced, well you messed up, not to say a mechanic can't but your problem seems pretty strait forward for them that a certified technician can help you even the manual suggests this or something like that. Do you use your a/c often? From time to time? You might need to have your a/c "re-charged" and that you would need to go to a garage.

So let me get this right from how I'm interpeting what you wrote...the a/c works, and it does blow "cold" but you felt it wasn't good enough...I think the stuff in the car and the stuff you are using a two different things. Glad that it "fixed" itself but in my opinion if you messed with it and you're just guessing you can really ruin something and possibly hurt yourself in the process. That's just me. But you could prove me wrong, hey more power too you, but I wish you luck and keep us posted!

Doh!

Nah-it was a 2005. Think some of that refrigerant I vented out got to my brain. As to taking it back to the dealer, well, for a lot of different, very valid reasons, I have to take the day off work, and just sit there while they work on it. I'm way out in nowheresville. Regarding the usage question, down here in Lower Alabama, our seasons are summer, late summer, still summer and fall. And no, I'm not from here. Thanks, y'all!

We just took the wifes Echo in for the same problem, it doesn't blow cold enough so the dealer is going to go over it and fix the problem, I will post when we find out what the problem was.
