Odd Question: Does the Yaris rear window lack weather stripping?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

I just picked up my Yaris this evening. Upon returning home, I began a Sirius Satellite installation. While trying to route the antenna wire underneath the rear window weather stripping I noticed a problem.

There is no weather stripping? There is also a predominant gap where weatherstripping would normally go. I hate to sound ignorant but is this normal? I called my sales person and she had no clue what I was talking about. Can any Yaris owners confirm if there is indeed supposed to be weatherstripping?

My fear is that it was removed when they added the Simoniz finish and not returned.

Thanks again!

I'm not sure about the weather striping you might want to take it back up to the dealer and show them but I just wanted to mention about the Sirrius radio antenna. I put the wifes on her dash and I put some of that no slip stuff that people use for camping under it and it hasn't moved yet so I did the same with my Corolla. There is no difference in reception as long as it's not right up close to the windshield.

There was a problem around here with some idiots cutting the wire and taking the antenna's. Oh and you don't have to worry about dust getting under them and scratching your paint..

Thanks for the response!

Two things: You have no reception problems using the dash? I may try this! I was concerned about possible paint/theft issues with the antenna.

I've also had the chance to look at the window in full daylight. It's a little different than what i'm used to but there does appear to be weather stripping. It's just VERY low profile, so much that I couldn't see it in the dark. You can actually put your fingers on the side of the glass, whereas all my other cars, this would be covered by the stripping. Does this sound right?

It works great on the dash and the reception is the same as on the roof...
