Thinking about getting a yaris

Okie. so i'm thinking about picking up the base model of the yaris once i get to college this aug.

a couple things i wanna know is.

is the engine the same as the xa and xb?
would the parts all be interchangeble?
how strong is the engine? (heard somewhere that the rods are weak)
just out of curiosity i guess... but whats the stock quater mile time?

thanks guys.

The engine is the same as the xA and xB
The engine parts, yes, would be interchangeable
I don't know how strong the engine is in the sense that you mean, but to me it seems like a waste of time and money to bother trying to get more power out of the 1.5
Can't say for sure, but I'd put the Yaris quarter mile time in the 17 second range.

If you're going to get this car I plan ahead and order one now as they are hard to get by of course that depends on if you get a hatch or sedan model and what you want on it...from other forums and posts it seems there is a waiting list and its not just for the Yaris but also FIT and probably Nissan Versa...but good luck and Yaris is a great choice!!
