You're better off spending your money on suspension and wheels to make the car handle better and enjoy that aspect of the car. For the little bit of power you can squeeze out of the 1.5 keeping it normally aspirated, the money just isn't worth the gains.

I appreciate your responce. A customer of mine was wanting some more power for their 03 Echo, but I'm having a heck of a time finding anything made for the car.

For an 03 you'll be able to add a whole variety of pieces.. intakes, headers, exhausts, pulleys. Most of the pieces are from the Scion, you can find more information in forums at echodrivers.com.. lots of detailed information there, you just need to search....

intakes
k&n
blitz
aem

headers
megan
dc sports
obx

exhausts
borla
vibrant
blitz
tanabe

pulleys
UR
perrin

that's just off the top of my head... there's also someone selling a custom turbo kit right now.. and if you can find it, there's also a blitz compressor, trust/greddy compressor, and i think an HKS turbo kit floating around.. hope it helps..
