how many remotes did you get with your yaris?

they said i only get 1 'fob' or remote for my yaris, even though i got the power package.

is this true for everyone?

i heard some dealers were giving out two?

I am from Canada. I have a 06 LB with only one remote.
When I asked, the salesman said it was the norm. Ironically, had I bought a Yaris without the keyless option, and ordered an aftermarket keyless entry system, I could have gotten two remote keys.

Could be something standard with the new U.S. Yaris models.

It might depend on the dealer, too. My didn't initially come with keyless entry, but I got the dealer to throw it in. Some dealerships outsource that kind of work -- i'm pretty sure mine did.

The Yaris sedan keyless entry is basic, as it only locks and unlocks the doors (and flashes rear and front lights and beeps the horn). my remotes have a trunk button and red button, both of which do not serve any function. Mine is definitely not a factory-installed feature.

Canada Toyoto remote key

I got only one remote for my 07 Yaris with the B-Package (5dr liftback from Canada). Also, a friend of mine recently bought a 06 Rav4 from a different Toyota dealership. He also received only 1 remote. Both the Rav4 and the Yaris have identical remote controls.

It's a nice compact remote that's intigrated with the ignition key and has good reception. Anyone know how much the dealership would charge for a replacement?

The embedded remote in the key is factory. Mine is a keychain like the common one, so perhaps that's why I got two. Normally, when you go to an electronics store like circuit city that sells them, you see that their package has two remotes, so mine is just aftermarket.

I only got 1 remote with my 07 sedan with factory keyless. Priced a second one at the dealer for about $200. Lucked out & found one on ebay for 90 uncut. got it cut free at the dealer & programed the remote myself.
