I have a loose connection somewhere which has dumbed the radio and CD player. Any thoughts ?

In my 2001 Echo I had the same thing happen thought it was the head unit. But what happened is the connectors on the speakers in the trunk got broke and the wires where touching each other. Sperated the wires radio came back on .
