New Yaris Owner aftermarket part questions, etc.

Hi everyone.
I'm new to your forum.
A month or so ago I purchased a very base (just mats) 5-speed Yaris hatch, and want to dress it up a bit.
Since buying it, I've added a CD/cassette deck that look like its "factory". Added alarm and power locks for a cable set-up (find them at A-1electric.com).
Now I'd like to find aftermarket wheels, and possibly some side molding that actually looks like it belongs on the car. It looks great without any molding, but how are you supposed to protect the body from kids or idiots who swing open their doors without looking or caring?
Anyway I've got 14" wheels on it now, and will upgrade the size to 15". Not that it's bad now, but will the ride be a bit better with the larger wheel? Will it affect the accuracy of cruise control speeds?
I live in the Detroit area and wonder what the best source would be locally, if possible, or internet sourced, for the wheels and side molding.
P.S. Mileage is hanging around 38-39 for combined city/highway mileage so far. Can we expect 45+ for a 65 or so speed with cruise control?
Thanks!
Ken

Wellcome to the Forum.

I'm somewhat new myself. Only had my Yaris for about 2 month. If you manage to find a side molding for the Yaris, l'd like to know about it, It's something that might become usefull once my car gets older. Simply to take away from the dings and scratches that the car is going to accumilate and to prevent new ones.

The 205/50/15 tire size is about the same diameter as the stock 175/65/14. Personaly, I'd go with the 195/55/15 which is about 2% bigger (in diameter) then the stock, but the 55 series would return a more comfy ride the the low profile tire. However, if you plan on installing performance springs, the 50 series tire (low profile) would be a better fit to capalize on the tigher suspension.
