I want one for me but...

Hi everyone, I am dying to get me a Yaris, only that i was told that it slides alot and gets difficult to drive (insecure?) in snow conditions because it is so lightweight. I live in Montreal where it snows tooooo much but I see lots of Echos and Yaris here, so before i believe this, i would like to have comments about this issue. Does anyone living extreme snow conditions also have comments about it? thanks from now. and for your nice car preferences.

Along with what Stuts said, take it for a test drive...even if there is no snow where you are yet. I live in a place where it snows, but probably not as much as where you live, but the point is I drive an ECHO and it handles good considering I have the stock 14" tires and what not, I don't even have ABS! But my point is, considering what I have it handles decently but its no off roader!
The Yaris which is an improvement (from what I'm told) should handle fine, if not better! Good luck! Hey you don't like the car you know where to find me!

I would say it all depends on what type of Tread pattern you have in your tires. One year the tread pattern in my tires was not so good and I could not go any where with my Echo. Preferablly regular snow tires and you will have no problems.
