sedan base manual availability san francisco

I'd like to get a sedan base model manual transmission. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, and there just seems to be none available in this area, they do have the automatic transmission available. One dealer says that Toyota just isn't shipping the kind I want over here. I will just have to make a dealer search for this and wait until they find one. Any thoughts?

Did you go on-line and configure your car according to your area code? Did it not come up to what you wanted? You can either special order or you might have to travel to get the car you want (like to a different city or area around S.F....I'm only saying this based on what I've read from other people trying to get what they want and the area they live in doesn't have the configuration they were looking for. It seems you're not asking for much and I think the dealer is giving you B.S. I remember when I tested the sedan, I believe it was a base model they had at the dealer although it as automatic...of course I'm just referring to where I live. I wish you luck!
