radiator fan....vibration/noisy??

just wondering if you guys feel that the fan is kind of noisy. especially if the a/c is on on 2-3. or is it just on my ride?

and also not sure if its the radiator fan but its the one located at the front of the engine.

btw its a 07 yaris.

Nope, I don't think the AC fan is too noisy. I can hear it, but its subtile and not intrusive. My friend's AC fan on his 99 Passat was as noisy as turbine engine when outside the car, but deadly silent when inside the car. Now, that was good noise insulation...

well guess iam just too picky lol......just letting you guys know that i had my oil change today.....seems like the last mechanic got me a wronng recomendation on the oil type.

i waas using 20/40 semi synthethic oil and its to viscous....so i think my performance and gas mileage dropped.

now i am usiing caltex 10/40 semi synthethic oil and its just so smooth now. so i recomend not skimping on it.

hopefully it does not clot/mess up any thing in my engine.

Mobel-1 has a 0w40 formula. It would be even more freer flowing then the 10w40. Personally, I'm staying with the regular stuff, the synthetics are too expensive to justify the benefits.

Also, all the people I know who have been driving their car for over 400,000km have been using regular oil. I've yet to come across anyone who uses synthetic that has that much mileage on their car.

mobil 1 kind of expensive here.........so for 4 litres or around 1 galllon of castrol magnatec i paid approximatly USD$18. so thats not bad right.

but for full synthethec from shell they are close to USD50 per gallon or 4 litres.

as for regular 20/40 oil, they are USD12 per gallon. so i chose the semi synthethic.
