grounding kits....useful no??

on another forum people are like going crazy over it.

i mean does it really have any benefits at all????

anyone heard of ground loops, and since you have so much common ground points doesn't it affect the audio in terms of noise???

theres probably pros and cons and it seems like too much of something is always not good. so what do you guys think?

just a thought.

Little to nothing to be gained on a newer car. Older cars can find benefits as with exposure to weather and time (read corrosion), the resistance in the factory ground wires increases, so a new set of grounds helps restore the good contact the car originally had and keeps everything flowing the way it should.

You could also just replace all the ground wires with new ones rather than use one of these grounding kits and generally get the same effect.

"Smooth" driving can be in the mind of the driver. One would think the manufacturer would take grounding seriously in order to maintain emissions standards. You can do the same thing with some wire and a few end terminals.
