DID IT!! for anyone that wants to change their cluster lighting color...

Ok, so my sister saw how I changed my dash lighting in my 01 Mirage and asked me to do it to her 97 tercel. I went out today and took everything apart that needed to be taken apart and i just COULD NOT figure out how to get the cluster out. Then I moved my hand around up their and found 2 plugs which I was dumb enough to unplug and couldnt find again!! Anyways, after I did that I got a little nervous and started moving the cluster around to see what was holding it in and I noticed this thick black fire goin from the cluster to the firewall, I followed it to the back of the cluster and pulled the white knob out of the cluster, now I could pull the whole thing out and get to the bulbs (and the plugs that I stupidly unplugged) and now her guages and stuff all light up blue. It was very easy to do and if u guys want a step by step let me know.

The factory dash light color is SO damn ugly in the tercel, if it were my car that shit would have been changed the first week I had the car . Anyways, feel free to ask me any questions u may have about doing this. I can tell u all the tools u need, what needs to be taken apart, and what bulbs you need. Really easy to do.

Even better then that. You can get the gauge cluster from a Paseo of the same year. It's an exact fit. The gauge faces are white and the needles are orange. Looks very sweet. I've seen it done.
